On April 26, Merge Records will issue the new album by David Kilgour And The Heavy Eights. The 11-track Left By Soft was recorded over the course of a week two hours south of Dunedin, New Zealand, in the Catlins, with minimal overdubs and zero Pro Tools trickery. Says Kilgour, who most MAGNET readers know for his almost three decades in the Clean, of Left By Soft, “It sounds like the band on a good night, warts and all.
