In The News: The Low Anthem, Guided By Voices, Adam Green, David Bowie, Ladytron And More

MAGNET top-album-of-2009 winner the Low Anthem has confirmed spring and summer U.S. dates alongside Mumford & Sons and Iron & Wine. Plus, they will appear on the bonus track from Emmylou Harris’ new album, for which they collaborated on a new version of their “To Ohio” … Brooklyn’s Northside Festival has announced this year’s headliner, Guided By Voices, with support from Wavves. Other bands on the bill include Twin Dister, Javelin and Deervana. The fest takes place June 16-19 …  On April 25, Ben Folds, OK Go’s Damian Kulash, Amanda Palmer and author Neil Gaiman will take on the ambitious feat of writing and recording eight songs in a mere eight hours at Berklee College of Music. The tracks will then be released 10 hours later during Rethink Music, with proceeds from the first week of downloads going to Berklee City Music … Former MAGNET guest-editor Adam Green is the director, writer and star of The Wrong Ferrari, a feature-length film shot entirely with his iPhone over a period of eight months and featuring guest appearances from the likes of Macaulay Culkin and Devendra Banhart.
