As if Merge Records kicking off its reissue campaign of all four of Archers Of Loaf’s studio albums on August 2 with the release of the band’s excellent 1993 debut, Icky Mettle (read all about about the LP in our Lost Classics post about it), wasn’t enough for you, here’s some more good news: Crooked Fingers, the longtime project of AOL frontman Eric Bachmann, will issue Breaks In The Armor via the label on October 11. The 11-track LP, the sixth full-length that Bachmann has made as Crooked Fingers, was recorded with Matt Yelton (the Pixies’ live sound engineer) over the past year.
