Mree’s lush harmonies float in and out of the mix like perfumed clouds, drawing you into a dizzying swirl of muted colors and ambiguous emotions. Armed with a guitar and an effects pedal that allows her to loop her vocals into an ever-shifting collage of sound, Mree is able to reproduce most of the album when she plays live. Mree: A pair of shoes. One of my favorite games to play with other people is Mad Gab. Don’t get it? Say it out loud: “Ease Sat Theme Hark It” = He’s at the market. It’s so funny to hear people say it out loud when you know what the real saying is. They put emphasis on different syllables and take awkward pauses. Always gets me laughing.
