MAGNET kindly asked if I’d come back and guest edit again. This year has been a whirlwind for the Wedding Present with touring, the festival in Brighton, recording the new Cinerama album, the Record Store Day singles and the deluxe reissue campaign of the first eight albums. There has hardly been a minute to sit still. So here is a little collection of little things in my life at the moment.
The other day I went to Dave’s Comics, a comic-book shop in Brighton. There’s nothing odd about that—I go there quite often, actually. But this time I went armed with copies of the first six issues of my own comic book, Tales From The Wedding Present. And felt ridiculously proud. I love it. I love being in my own comic. It’s me! In a comic! What could be finer? And now I feel responsible for my little comic. I go back every week and check how many they have left in stock.
