Political art might be sequential like a graphic novel or it could be regarded as sequential in terms of an artist’s output over time. A long time. A lifetime. If an artist is known for their political content, it gives that artist a certain amount of creative freedom to explore subtleties, knowing an audience will regard their work as part of an overarching political sensibility.
