MAGNET Exclusive: Premiere Of Queen Anne’s “Real Enough”

For the time being, Katie Silverman is best known for her supporting roles in the hit shows New Girl and Pen15 and her turn as the young Jacqueline Bouvier in the West Coast stage production of Grey Gardens. That might change with Queen Anne, her promising new indie-pop collaboration with writer/producer Sandy Chila.

The 20-year-old Silverman has said that the lyrics for “Real Enough,” Queen Anne’s hauntingly addictive debut single, were inspired by a restaurant order gone awry. Given some time to think, she offers a more honest reassessment.

“The paradox I wanted to explore is that when you’re attacking yourself, you’re also under attack,” she says. “I wanted to write a song that felt like being on both sides at once.”

We’re proud to premiere Queen Anne’s “Real Enough,” out now on Share It Music. A portion of the proceeds from its purchase go to the Malaria Consortium.
