Now that the members of Band Of Horses are major-label players (they recently signed to Columbia Records), how will the little-bearded-band-that-could take its next step? BOH’s third album, Infinite Arms—following critical darlings Everything All The Time (2006) and Cease To Begin (2007)—will be released May 18, and if album opener “Factory” is any indication, we’re in for a winner. More melodic than previous efforts, with lush strings and soft vocals, “Factory” proves that Band Of Horses has more to offer than alt.country melancholia. Not that this is something built for the dance floor; it’s still the sincere, mountain-folk songsters you fell in love with. Read our 2006 feature on the band.
